We were staying in Easton, near to this pub so decided to support the local upon returning from a day out (on a Tuesday).
However, despite looking at food timings on line, it did not work out as planned.
We arrived at 5pm to find that food service didn't start until 6.30pm.
Online details need updating for others to know.
We popped back to our accommodation and then back to the pub for 6.30pm.
We then discovered that the specials on the board had run out, and my choice from menu had also run out. This is not really acceptable when food service had only just started!
We had a lovely meal, I had the curry and my husband had a pizza and both good value.
Service was excellent, atmosphere was great and dog friendly too.
Would definitely recommend and visit again, just a few things need refining for customer satisfaction.
Old style pub, clean, tidy easy to find. We had Sunday roast, great selection and plate full, more than enough for you to eat, £13.95 pp. Friendly service well worth a visit.
Called in for a drink and light lunch after a walk at Ayrmer Cove. It was Roast Lunch only( which is fair enough) so we settled for some Piper crisps, a lemon and lime, and a pint of wonderful Jail Ale from Dartmoor Brewery. The Barman even found me a tankard, this being my old-fashioned but preferred way of drinking a pint. Good sized, sheltered area at the back of the pub with plenty of benches. Dogs and children are welcomed too.
Serving glasses were sparkling and the toilets equally so. Easy disabled access to the latter.
The layout inside is functional with enough space between tables to not feel cramped. I believe it is under new management and they seem to be getting it right. I can see this pub becoming a go-to venue in the very neat future.
